Hi, I'm Kristy and here's a little bit of my story. I was born and raised in rural Queensland and I care deeply about the future of people and places throughout rural and regional Australia.
As a small business owner, I understand what it takes to run a regional business. I know the agriculture sector firsthand having been a farmer. And I get community from my decades of involvement with community organisations and activities.
Building on my career in regional economic development, financial and program management, I am passionate about using my skills and experience to serve rural and regional business and communities, so I founded Region Allies in 2023 to do just that!
With a keen eye on what's ahead for our regions, Region Allies is focused on providing businesses and community organisations with practical support to work ON and not just IN business. I'm working hard to keep across ESG (environmental, social and governance) for business and all things 'sustainability' and through Region Allies am committed to supporting business communities as opportunities and challenges emerge, now and into the future.
